Location for the Head of Technical Quality Governance - Inspection Services opporunity is flexible
As a business partner this role will provide technical leadership, mentoring and direction on a global basis through:
Issuing technical quality and governance frameworks in conjunction with the GTDGB and TGP’s to ensure quality management is central to how Inspection Services teams operate;
Monitor performance against quality/technical standards and procedures to draw out potential issues and make recommendations to continually raise the standard;
Applying significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve our service and/ or processes;
Identify New industry trends and develop new services in conjunction with Service Delivery and Sales & Marketing
Communicating and provide mentoring to ensure the correct use of codes and standards;
Support Service Delivery Teams with “User Friendly” tools to consistently deliver quality excellent services to both internal and external clients;
Responsible for the management of QHS risks and highlight the importance of maintaining quality on both our brand and market position;
Capture, share knowledge and industry best practice with service delivery and sales teams to build and maintain excellence on a global basis; encourage return of experience processes
Drive changes of quality system (e.g. structure, procedures, KPIs) to make it a pragmatic and a daily used applicable tool for our Delivery teams
Actively manages accreditation portfolio and optimise it for optimized product delivery and cost effectiveness
Develop synergies and common approaches with counterparts in other Business Streams (e.g. share best practices, investments, tools and accreditations)
Engage with clients, authorities and our teams (SD,Sales…) and facilitate resolving high risks complaints or deficiencies
Protect, develop and support technical governance for non-statutory services (Assurance and Performance) improving quality of services provided and deliverables;
Establish and promote a high-end quality culture within the organisation;
Enabler for the Business, including deployment of new ways of working (technologies, methods) with a robust risk management approach
To be considered
Educated to Chartered Engineer level with a broad depth of knowledge across the Testing, Inspection and Compliance Business
Minimum of 15 years of experience of which 10 years spent in a senior position, preferably in a global Testing, Inspection and Compliance (TIC) business.
Extensive knowledge of codes, standard, EC Directives as applicable to the Inspection Product Register
Experience of managing people within a client focused, professional service environment is essential
Knowledge and understanding of current pressure equipment codes and standards, design concepts and processes, joining and NDE techniques.
Current knowledge and understanding of the application and use of relevant EC Directives and of EC regulatory requirements.
A wide breadth and depth of knowledge of project management with proven skills in dealing with medium to high complexity and medium to high risk key client facing projects through the strategic management of multidiscipline teams
Experienced in taking a technical lead in providing authoritative advice, guidance and arbitration on technical matters both internally and externally.
Proven training, coaching and mentoring for technical teams with key skills in forecasting, business and resource planning
