ASSA ABLOY Security Doors, Lisburn
The primary objective of this position is to drive the business in all aspects of Quality.
Key responsibilities and duties are to:
Support production in all aspects of quality and new product introduction and modifications.
Provide quality documentation to various internal and external customers-control plans, quality plans, inspection and test plans, material compliance reviews, inspection reports, etc.
Monitor conformance of products to required
standards including testing.
Establish and develop shop-floor quality processes in line with vision and goals.
Ensure ISO9001 is maintained and operating in
accordance with business requirements including all audits conducted to plan with any non-conformities recorded and closed out in a timely manner.
Ensure Q-Mark certification is maintained and
operating in accordance with business requirements.
Drive ASSA ABLOY operational excellence programme achieving set targets for the advancement of key areas of progression.
Drive and support continuous improvement
throughout the business using tools such as 8D problem solving tools and principles.
Carry out first line examination on all customer
returns and the root to required areas for action.
Regularly review the company KPI's and take
necessary actions to keep these within target.
Produce a comprehensive monthly department
report including KPIs, performance and other areas.
Participate in and contribute to the management team meetings.
Work toward a reduction in customer concerns, customer PPM and scrap.
Ensure compliance with ISO/Company procedures.
Develop and verify quality control.
The ideal candidate will:
Be HND/ONC qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
Have previous experience as a Quality Engineer/Quality Manager.
Hold a Certified Internal Auditor Qualification.
Have excellent technical skills.
Possess knowledge of process-related standards.
Be an analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
Be a problem solver.
Be comfortable with integrating new technology into an existing business.
Demonstrate confidence and self-motivation.
Reflect good communication and interpersonal skills.
