The role of Engineering Helpdesk Coordinator would suit a plant engineer, small tools engineer or experience vehicle mechanic looking to move off the tools, but use their skills and experience.
In this role you will be part of a small Technical team who take calls from our internal and external customers acting as a first response to any engineering queries regarding our machines. You'll help and resolve problems as you’ll deal with a variety of people on the phone during the day covering a variety of issues. They might need some guidance and support using one of our machines or there might be a technical issue with the machine - whatever the query, you will be responsible for providing helpful advice and guidance in a positive manner ensuring that the problem is resolved efficiently.
Please note the hours are Monday – Friday 08.30 - 17.00.

Effectively interpret external and internal customer’s requests for technical support from anywhere in UK.
Where possible, determine nature of technical problem through diagnostic questioning techniques.
Deploy appropriate internal or external resource to achieve efficient resolution.
Identify specifications / Manufacture updates and manage in central location for team use.
Close engineer reports following site attendance and identify / resolve any shortfalls.
Supply thorough examination certification upon request.

Engineering knowledge of plant, small tools or vehicles.
Demonstrable problem solving skills.
Credible communicator, with an empathetic approach.
Competent user of MS Excel and MS Outlook.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and resilient.
