Provides engineering support to the Manufacturing teams and to the project team (OPTIMAP) for the launch of new products, the realization of manufacturing readiness and productivity improvement.
S/He is in charge of:
Defining plant specific equipment (from specification to realization) for plant and SILS centre
Assisting shift leader in defining Standard Operation Procedures for production operators in accordance with best practices and POMS
In cooperation with SILS team, creating work instructions for assembly and delivery
Piloting equipment spare parts selection and order
Providing administrative support within SAP, product files, laboratory reports, quality tests, transports.
Management of serial modifications requested by customer (OPTIMAP)
Management of industrial modifications / installations (OPTIPRO)
Management & co-ordination of change management (Engineering Change & Layout Change)
Technical feasibility studies, PFMEA’s, verification of equipment versus standards,
Reception of equipment
Incident and accident analysis
Organizes and supports trials:
Organizing pre-production and production runs with production team for new products
Training production teams
Following up engineering status and stock positions of finished products, semi-finished, components and special packaging
Coordinating laboratory tasks for his project; project control plans, tests, R&R studies…
Pilots customer spare parts validation.
During production life time Plant Engineer is responsible of:
Production transfer between plants.
Updating the PRU (factory cost price).
Productivity activity on projects that he is was in charge for during project. On a permanent basis looking for cost reduction opportunities during launch and serial production.
During the project phase will participate in small CAPEX validation and installation, will organize/write all workstation instructions, manage and update technical drawings and technical data sheets.
Is responsible for masking/polishing/quality/ benches definition and installation and mini racks (scrap, polishing...) for internal flows.
Education: Bachelor degree major in mechanical or electrical.
Experience in manufacturing (methods, plant organization and lay out).
Experience in manufacturing, basics knowledge on project
Team player, leadership, continuous improvement orientated.
Good oral and working capability in English.
Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes (injection/paint/assembly).
Pro-active and highly resourceful
Ability to balance and prioritise tasks
