Provide technical expertise in customer discussions
Prepare and perform FAT tests
Commission your own code as well as code written by others
Manage medium to large scale multiple projects simultaneously to ensure project meets project plans, budget, and contractual obligations
Writing operating instruction manuals
Provide training/instructions to internal employees and end users
Advice/ support of colleagues on automation aspects
Projects will be run mostly in UK, but work on projects in other countries will be expected.
University degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering, Software engineering or Computer science
At least 3 years experience in a similar role preferrably in an international environment, development and commissioning of plant automation systems are expected
PLC programming (mainly Siemens S7 or Rockwell systems),
Programming in VB or .NET and DB/SQL experience preferred
Good understanding of Processing - Production Control;
knowledge of Siemens (TIA Portal/S7,WINCC), Rockwell (Compact Logix, Panelview) and Wonderware, Archestra and InTouch
Programming in Tetra PlantMaster is advantageous
Good spoken and written English
Experience in dairy industry will be an advantage, experience from project management is important but not vital

We can offer you a very pleasant working environment, an open atmosphere, and challenging customers. The position is based in High Wycombe but travelling will be a natural part of your work. Being an automation engineer will include periods of on-site commissioning, occasional weekend work as well as support to our PlantCare team.
It is expected that you will travel about 30% of your time.
Induction Training :
Depending on your gained experience Tetra Pak will assist with training in Tetra PlantMaster, Project leadership or Dairy competence.
