Commercial AI Lead
Operate is seeking an AI Specialist to join our rapidly growing Technology team based in Belfast. Operate Technology is dedicated to researching, developing, testing, implementing and supporting innovative technology solutions for the wider PwC organisation, its clients and stakeholders.
The AI Specialist will be responsible for understanding and translating business problems and identifying/applying the right AI or cognitive computing technologies in order to develop and deploy credible commercial solutions.
Be a principal point of contact for the business, maintaining continuous dialogue with key business stakeholders to support effective delivery of AI solutions
Understand business strategies, plans, needs and objectives and represent the business in the formulation of AI-driven technology strategies and objectives
Develop an understanding of business problems, with an ability to challenge existing technologies and identify areas of application for AI technologies
Identify and choose the right AI or cognitive computing technologies for solving problems and formulate AI approaches for development
Develop required machine learning models or prototype applications applying formulated AI approaches and verify the problem/solution fit
Work alongside current AI engineers to develop and deploy AI-driven solutions.
This position is for individuals who have a strong interest and good experience in artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, machine learning and related technologies
Development experience using one of JAVA, C, C++ or python languages
Experience in web application development
Experience in building of API driven interface development
Experience in developing cloud applications running on Microsoft Azure,Amazon Web Service, Google Cloud etc
Experience in designing and implementing systems using emerging technologies
Experience in agile software development or similar methodologies;
Experience in software prototyping
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Relevant undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BSc) or equivalent professional experience
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing, APIs, Machine Learning, Deep Learning Technologies
Knowledge of Semantic Web, Knowledge Engineering, Natural Language Processing
Experience in search platform such as Elastic Search or similar
Experience in Voice Recognition/Synthesis
This unique opportunity is in a highly accessible location, only a short walk from Lanyon Place train station. Occasional travel to PwC regional offices may be required in this role.
