A great opportunity to join Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust has arisen for an experienced IT Developer to join the application and web development team and help them with moving forward in delivering its digital solutions to meet the organisations strategy.
The use of information technology will be instrumental in ensuring the Trust strategies are realised and will radically change the way it delivers services to patients through the widespread use of mobile technologies, electronic records, new clinical systems, system integration, digital health applications, data administration and enhanced business intelligence.
The post holder will be responsible for researching and implementing cutting edge technologies within application and web development team, through an exciting period of change delivering the benefits digital technology can provide through the design and deployment of new architectures for both trust staff and service users, ensuring that any solution underpins the business needs of the organisation.
We are seeking an individual with a passion for innovative ideas that will not only improve the quality and efficacy of patient services but enrich the end user experience through the utilisation of digital technology, using their advanced specialist knowledge in all areas of the development life cycle from requirements gathering through to testing, deployment and maintenance.
Establish detailed solution specifications through discussions and meetings with stakeholders and users envisioning features and functionality as well as design and usability
Develop cutting edge bespoke applications to support the Trust and its partner organisations
Design and build solutions to support the organisations systems, applications and data using health care standards and specifications
Develop and direct system testing and validation procedures ensuring systems are tested for accuracy, performance, data quality, resilience, responsiveness and efficiency
Administer the Trusts information data stores maintaining and enhancing existing stored procedures, queries and report generation
Determine system performance standards and ensure solutions work within this criterion
Monitor, maintain and development data stores infrastructure to meet new and existing project requirements
Design client-side and server-side architecture for applications and data warehouse solutions
Develop and manage data warehouses and ETL processes
Assist in building websites and writing effective application programmable interfaces to meet system requirements and user expectations
Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet the user’s requirements and are error free

Being a self-motivated team player, with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills who is not afraid of hard work you will possess a degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience and expertise in software development within a large scale organisation, ideally the NHS or healthcare sector.
By applying your expert skills alongside critical thinking, you will be capable of determining and recommending solutions to solve multifaceted challenges and use personable skills to communicate with, negotiate and influence a variety of stakeholders, combined with your ability to problem solve and come up with digital innovative solutions.
