Hours: 35 flexible hours per week between 7am & 7pm, Monday to Friday or 36 compressed hours per week between 7am & 7pm, over 4 days.

The successful candidate will be working with the Groups internal IT department of around 30 people like-minded professionals, from our head office in Ashton-under-Lyne. The department is split up into several teams; Business Intelligence, Business Systems, IT Infrastructure, IT Service Mangement. These teams are responsible for all of the Group’s IT functions and directly contributes to its success.
This is an exciting multi skilled role covering all aspects for IT infrastructure, working with a team of enthusiastic colleagues to maintain, update and improve IT infrastructure.
A successful candidate will need a wide range of knowledge and skills, plus several years of experience in similar IT roles. The Group uses a number of modern technologies housed across multiple data centres. Including but not limited too;
Microsoft AD, Exchange, IIS, SQL
Desktop OS - Windows 10/11, Chrome OS
Cloud solutions - Azure AD / Office 365 / MS Teams / Intune
The role will include responsibilities for a number of Infrastructure products, ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum, security patches are applied in line with policy and that development is carried out based on the Group’s needs. You’ll also be expected to provide 3rd line support and supervise the work of other members of the team when they are providing 2nd / 3rd line support.
You will produce training and documentation on areas of specialist knowledge and deliver this to the rest of the IT departments. You’ll also work with the Senior Management Team to develop the IT strategy for the Group and suggest improvements to procedures and policies when you identify them.
Staying up to date with the latest technologies and security threats is critical to the ongoing development of IT systems, the successful candidate will need to keep themselves informed both by doing their own research and attending training courses provided by the Group.
A full UK driving license and a willingness to occasionally travel within the UK is essential for the role.
