You will be joining the Client Connectivity team within Corporate Bank Technology as a Production Support Engineer. In this role, you will be accountable for driving a culture of proactive continual improvement into the Production environment through automation of manual work, monitoring improvements and platform hygiene. You will be responsible for supporting critical client facing applications and will develop technical solutions to improve the stability of production environments.

Your key responsibilities:
Enhancing the technical capabilities of the Production Support teams to create a future operating model embedded with engineering culture in an Investment Banking environment
Support engineering delivery to drive a reduction in technical debt across the production environment with development and infrastructure teams
Creating a strong network of contacts with associated technology teams from development, infrastructure and production to collaborate on risk identification, remediation solutions and managing change conflicts
Liaising with business to understand the issues and provide solutions within a quick turnaround time as well as taking ownership to create visibility as a critical production support point of contact and guide/mentor peers to manage a high pressure environment
Supporting Continuous Service Improvement approach to resolve Information Technology failings, drive efficiencies and remove repetition to streamline support activities, reduce risk, and improve system availability
Your skills and experience:
Strong experience of applying technical solutions to improve the stability of production environments
Good understanding and working knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library Service management framework (incident, problem, change management)
Working experience in providing Level2/Level3 support (preferably in a Banking environment) Excellent working experience of Unix/shell scripting, Oracle, Control-M scheduler, Geneos monitoring tool and middleware such as Message Queue, Delivered-at-Place, Dweb
Preferred domain knowledge about Agency securities lending, stock borrow/stock lending, settlement, loans, collaterals, trade flow
Capability to interact successfully in a virtual, multi-vendor and multi-cultural environment and conversant with disaster recovery methodologies and possess working knowledge and experience of performing D isaster Recovery tests
