Purpose of the Role
The Mondelez Europe Process Team is based in three locations: Bournville (UK), Lorrach (Germany) & Wroclaw (Poland). This role is to be based in Bournville but includes travelling to different Mondelez plants or external manufacturers 20-40% of the time.
The purpose of the role is to assist in the execution of projects like New Product Development (NPD), Productivity, Quality Improvements & Brand Maintenance. This means you will lead certain tracks of work and report back to the technical team with your findings. It will be your responsibility to ensure that our projects are following the IIM process. You would also be expected to have an active input into the writing of process specifications and to lead some of the projects on your own.
Lead and execute a number of small to medium sized projects in line with marketing and operational functional requirements while effectively communicating Research & Development requirements and risks with the support and guidance of the manager.
Plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP requirements.
Interpret and analyse results, and collate them in technical reports.
Understand and interpret manufacturing plant needs, requirements and capabilities and feed them back to the technical team to guide the development process.
Create process specifications according to spec excellence and ensure that projects are following the IIM process.
University degree in Science, Food Science, Chemical Engineering or other relevant discipline
Work experience in food manufacturing
Fluency in English
Knowledge of any other European languages would be an asset (especially German or Polish)
Good knowledge of MS Office
