An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Engineer to work on site based in Liverpool. Following a programme of development through experience and training, you will ensure that civil engineering requirements are correctly interpreted from design and implemented on site.
What you’ll be doing day to day
Surveying and setting out tasks using a variety of surveying equipment
Document control and management of construction drawings.
Active reporting of health, safety, environmental and quality concerns.
Communication with site teams to ensure that all relevant information is passed on to trades.
To support the Commercial/Construction teams with any issues that may arise.
Update and maintain spreadsheets including cost reviews and programme updates
Data review for problem indications
Producing CAD drawing of survey and As Built data
Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work
Communication with the public regarding upcoming or on going disruptive works.
The experience we’re looking for in a candidate
B-Tec diploma in Construction/engineering or equivalent
Full UK driving licence
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
An excellent communicator
Be able to work in a strong team environment
A practical approach to life with a desire to learn
Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner
